These Gameplay Submission Terms apply when you submit gameplay to YourGameBase. By submitting gameplay and accepting these Terms, you agree to the conditions below.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to submit gameplay to YourGameBase.
By submitting gameplay, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
2. Your submission
You may only submit gameplay that you recorded yourself or that you have permission to submit.
You must not submit gameplay in violation of an embargo, non-disclosure agreement, confidentiality obligation, applicable law or other restriction that prevents you from sharing the recording with YourGameBase.
Gameplay submitted for consideration must follow the YourGameBase gameplay standard:
NO COMMENTARY. NO FACECAM. JUST THE GAME.
3. Ownership
You remain the owner of your recording and of any rights you hold in that recording. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your recording to YourGameBase.
Your submission may include copyrighted material belonging to the developer, publisher or other rights holders of the underlying game. You are not granting YourGameBase ownership of those third-party rights. You are granting permission only to the extent of the rights and permissions you are able to grant in your recording and contribution.
4. Permission granted to YourGameBase
When you accept these Terms, you grant YourGameBase a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and continuing licence to use the gameplay submitted as part of that submission.
This permission allows YourGameBase to review, download, store, copy, edit, crop, resize, reformat, technically process, brand, watermark and otherwise prepare the gameplay for publication.
YourGameBase may create thumbnails, extracts, Longplays, Highlights and other edited versions from the submitted material.
One original recording may be used to create more than one piece of published gameplay, including a Longplay and one or more Highlights.
YourGameBase may publish, distribute, display, communicate, promote and make the resulting content available on YourGameBase.com and on official YourGameBase channels and accounts, including YouTube and social-media platforms.
This permission also covers publication on monetized YourGameBase channels where applicable.
YourGameBase may use service providers where reasonably necessary to store, process, deliver or publish the content.
5. Original and raw footage
Your initial submission may use a YouTube video for review.
If YourGameBase is interested in using your gameplay, we may request the original or raw recording.
You are not required to provide raw footage, but YourGameBase may decide not to publish the submission if the original recording is not provided.
Any original or raw footage that you later provide for the same submission is covered by the permission granted under these Terms.
YourGameBase may temporarily store raw footage for transfer, review and production. Raw cloud copies may be removed after the material has been safely transferred for production or when they are no longer required.
6. Editorial control
Submitting gameplay does not guarantee that it will be published.
YourGameBase decides whether a submission is suitable, whether original footage will be requested, whether the material will be used, how it will be edited and when or where it will be published.
Longplay and Highlights are separate editorial formats. Highlights are short-form gameplay with a maximum published duration of two minutes. Their final framing, aspect ratio, crop, overlay and presentation are determined by YourGameBase during editing.
YourGameBase may reject, stop using or remove submitted content where reasonably necessary, including because of quality concerns, inaccurate submission information, rights issues or violations of these Terms.
7. Credits
You may choose how you would like to be credited when submitting gameplay: by your YourGameBase username, YouTube channel, both, or with no public credit.
Where reasonably possible, YourGameBase will follow your selected credit preference when your gameplay is published.
Credit placement and presentation may vary between YourGameBase.com, YouTube and other platforms.
Selection of a YouTube channel as your credit preference does not guarantee an official YouTube Collaboration or any other platform-specific collaboration feature. Those remain separate editorial decisions by YourGameBase.
8. Payment
Gameplay submissions are voluntary and do not create a right to payment, royalties, revenue sharing or other compensation.
If YourGameBase and a contributor agree to a paid collaboration, sponsorship or other compensation arrangement, that arrangement must be agreed separately.
9. Duration of permission
The permission granted under these Terms continues after publication and is not automatically cancelled if you later close your account, stop using YourGameBase or change your mind about the submission.
YourGameBase may therefore continue to use material that has already been received, edited, produced or published under these Terms.
This does not limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived, including valid claims relating to material that you were not entitled to submit.
If you discover a rights problem with material you submitted, you should contact YourGameBase as soon as possible.
10. No guarantee of results
YourGameBase does not guarantee that a submission will be reviewed within a particular period, selected for raw-footage upload, published, promoted, credited in a particular position, receive views or result in a collaboration.
11. Privacy
YourGameBase processes account information, submission information and related workflow data in accordance with the YourGameBase Privacy Policy.
Submitted material may be processed using third-party infrastructure necessary for secure storage, transfer, review and publication.
12. Terms version
The version of the Gameplay Submission Terms that you accept is recorded with your submission.
The Terms accepted for that submission continue to apply to the material provided for that submission, including original footage supplied later in response to a YourGameBase raw-footage request.
13. Applicable law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of YourGameBase, subject to any mandatory rights that apply under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded or waived.
